The Irvine Ranch Conservancy has organized an early morning, 6-mile fitness hike along Hicks Haul Road on March 22.
The hike affords terrific views of Orange County and the Santa Ana Mountains, plus local fauna such as hawks, deer, and lizards.
The paved road is smooth terrain for walking, but it does have cracks, crevices, and an occasional dip. There are two reasonably steep hill ascents and descents.
The hike is from 8:30 am – 10:45 am, and begins at the Hicks Haul Road – Jeffrey staging area in the Limestone Canyon Nature Preserve.
Participants must bring a signed IRC liability waiver. Participants must be at least 16 years old and minor may be added to the parent/guardian liability waiver.
