Enjoy a good stretch of the legs this Wednesday from 7:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. for a challenging distance hike in the scenic Limestone Canyon Nature Preserve.
It is a 10-13 mile hike for physically fit hikers who are good with multiple steep climbs and descents. The hike is a “4” on the 1-through-5 Difficulty Ratings, and offers views of Orange County and the Santa Ana Mountains, plus the chance of wildlife sightings and maybe stops at The Sinks and/or Dripping Springs. Expect an average pace of 3 miles per hour.
The hike begins at the Augustine Staging Area.
Participants should bring a day pack, a minimum of 3 quarts of water, snacks, closed-toe hiking shoes or boots, sunscreen, first aid, and all other appropriate supplies. Hikers must registered ahead of time (no walk-ins) and bring a signed liability waiver – none will be available on site.

Arrive with all necessary equipment to keep you safe on the trail, including water, proper attire, and closed-toe footwear, first aid, health needs etc.
Restrooms will be available, but facilities will not be sanitized for each individual.
