Southern California has had an enormous impact on the development of rock and roll. From Leo Fender’s paradigm-shifting innovations to the creation of surf music by OC legend Dick Dale, our little corner of the world revolutionized the pop culture landscape worldwide. The artists featured in this series represent different aspects of that rock and roll revolution, still reverberating today.

Concerts take place 6:30-8:30 in the Carnegie Plaza adjacent to the MUZEO Galleries. Bring lawn chairs and picnic dinners, enjoy free arts and crafts for the kiddies and indulge in a beer or wine.

Entrance begins at 6:00. Parking is located throughout the downtown area.

JUNE 30th: KID RAMOS

American electric blues and blues rock guitarist, singer, and songwriter, Kid Ramos will be kicking off the concert series.

JULY 28th: DEKE DICKERSON & VENTURESMANIA

Don’t miss your favorite Ventures tribute band, VENTURESMANIA! Dickerson keeps America’s roots music alive while interjecting new creativity into genres of music that flourished in decades previous.

AUGUST 25th: SEAN OLIU

Close out the series with Anaheim local, Sean Oliu. Sean intertwines country with the influences of Blues, and early Rock n’ Roll to form his own unique musical style.

Who is OC Independent?

The OC Independent is dedicated to providing factual, informative reporting on Orange County government, politics, education and quality of life issues such as homelessness and access to housing. We seek to illuminate aspects of issues, movements and trends that receive little or no attention from more established, mainstream outlets. Our editorial philosophy is grounded in the principles of the American Founding: limited government, federalism, the separation of powers and equality before the law as indispensable to securing our liberties. The opinions and stances articulated in OC Independent editorials flow from those principles, and are grounded in facts.
