A slew of Orange County lawmakers have endorsed Tim Shaw for Orange County Supervisor. Shaw is a member of the Orange County Board of Education, and a former long-time member of the La Habra City Council.
Among those supporting Shaw, according to an announcement released by his campaign, are U.S. Congresswoman Young Kim, State Senator Steven Choi, State Senator Tony Strickland, State Assemblyman Phillip Chen, State Assemblyman Tri Ta, State Assemblymember Laurie Davies, State Assemblymember Diane Dixon, State Assemblymember Kate Sanchez, former State Senator Dick Ackerman, and former State Senator John Moorlach.
The endorsements come in the wake of Shaw earning the support of the Republican Party of Orange County.
Former State Senator Bob Huff, a longtime Orange County leader, also voiced his strong support for Shaw’s candidacy.
“Tim Shaw has consistently demonstrated integrity, sound judgment, and a genuine commitment to serving his community,” said former State Senator Bob Huff. “Orange County needs leaders who understand both local concerns and the importance of responsible governance, and Tim Shaw is exactly that kind of leader.”

Shaw expressed gratitude for the endorsements, emphasizing his focus on delivering results for Orange County families, businesses, and neighborhoods.
“I am honored to receive the support of these outstanding public servants,” Shaw said. “Their confidence means a great deal to me, and I look forward to working tirelessly to protect public safety, strengthen our local economy, and ensure Orange County remains a great place to live, work, and raise a family.”
Tim Shaw currently serves as the Vice President of the Orange County Board of Education and was previously the President of the Board. He has served on the Orange County Board of Education since 2020.
Shaw has held elected office since 2008 when he was elected to the La Habra City Council. He won election to the La Habra City Council 4 times and served as Mayor of La Habra in both 2012 and 2018. He represented La Habra on the Orange County Sanitation District Board of Directors for 4 years and served on the Orange County Transportation Authority (OCTA) Board of Directors for nearly 10 years. He was Chairman of the OCTA Board of Directors in 2019.
